Inspiration from text:
- A Song of Praise - The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
... Explanation of the painting: A reflection of God's presence, His living Word with us. Indeed, when we be still and meditate on His goodness and great love, we find that He is our shepherd, who provides graciously all things for His sheep. In Him we have no want, we have no other. In Him only do we find true rest, and in the midst of distress and trouble, He restores our soul. He gives us what we cannot find, does for us what we cannot do, guides us in a path we cannot walk; He is God. In His love, The Great Shepherd sought out His lost sheep and lay down His life to save us. No one can take His life from Him yet He chose to lay it down for us. In the same manner, in His righteousness no one can keep His life from Him, so He has risen to take up His life again! Praise be to our Shepherd for His great love to us! Praise Him for His righteousness in which He calls us now to walk in! Praise Him, for He is worthy, the name above all names - Jesus! |
